So I've been wanting to set up a review blog for quite some time (because I like to compartmentalize when it comes to my online life, you see; can't have reviews mingling with fics, and vice versa), and anyway, I finally got around to it!

I am currently reviewing/snarking Catherine and the Pirate, which is a terrible (but not entirely without potential) YA historical romance, in case you care to check it out.

I think I've actually read Catherine and the Pirate! Years and years ago, so all I really remember is that Catherine puts on a pair of trousers to join a ship's crew, only the eventual love interest recognizes her instantly and gets her on his ship, and then...I don't really remember the rest. Possibly he taught her how to climb the rigging and it involved lots of touching?

Haha, you got some of the details wrong, but yeah, that's basically it. (Especially the touching. Lots and lots of touching. But since it's YA, it's all, like, hands on cheeks and brushing hair out of faces and other wholesome, chaste things.)
