An update: I now have a dreamwidth account.

In light of the recent LJ update, I've gotten myself a DW account.  I had considered getting a DW before, due to the DDoS attacks and whatnot on LJ, but this recent update was the push that made me actually, yanno, do it.  I won't say I'm migrating completely (yet), but I've imported my journal, and will probably be cross-posting from here on out.  Truth be told, the idea of completely moving pains me, because LJ has become something of a home for my writing, but I've done it before (migrated from ff.net to LJ), and I'll do it again if I feel the need/desire.  I've never been a paying user here, so I don't have a whole lot of loyalty to the site itself, just the people and communities on it.

Erm, on that note, happy holidays(?)!

Yeah, I did it mainly as a back-up for now, but it's hard to say what will happen in the future. A lot of people are pissed and moving. And with DW just recently rolling out its community import feature, well, I can't say I'd be surprised or all that upset if entire fandoms moved by the time this whole thing is over.
