Indeed! I keep consoling myself with that. (Well, and the fact that I think this has been about five years in the brewing--ever since I said, "Screw all this lovey-dovey romance in my writing--I'm doing angst!" It's probably about time romance popped back around, if only for a little while.)
Not that this doesn't have its share of complications, but, yeah. At its center, it is, in fact, a love story. With a fucking ballroom scene. It's just weird for me. Very few relationships in my fics can qualify as "tender."
