I don't read romance ROMANCE, but I don't mind it in my stories
I think that might be my problem--I tend to like more than just romance with my romance stories, even if it's something as minor as an interesting historical backdrop. So maybe I should really be looking at other genres that just happen to have romance in them. This whole "averagely-unique high school student" or "young lady making her debut into society" is YAWN.
