Amazing ficlet! I enjoyed the character's introspection and the conflict they find themselves in. They can't tackle it head on so it was interesting to see how they delt with that. The Carnival theme just makes it all better. <3

Also, do you have any art references to Hungary, Austria, and Italy's costumes? I feel like it'll be fun to draw.
